Also known by other common names like Egyptian Blue Lotus, the Sacred Narcotic Lily of the Nile, Blue Water Lily, and as the Blue Lotus. The Blue Lotus is notorious for its mysterious, mystical persona. Blue Lotus absolute is incredibly rare among oils.
The blue lotus is a captivating blue-purple flower with a bright yellow center. Similar to Jasmine, Blue Lotus is not steam distilled. Solvent extraction is used on the delicate blossoms instead to produce Blue Lotus absolute.
The scent of Blue Lotus is distinctly floral. It smells sweet and almost green. The unique fragrance of Blue Lotus makes for an enchanting personal perfume.
Tranquil and peaceful, the aroma of Blue Lotus is also commonly used for massage and meditation. Consider applying Blue Lotus 5% in Jojoba or Moringa to the pulse points or crown of the head before meditating.
For the perfumier we also supply Blue Lotus Absolute diluted in DPG for your convenience.
** It is important to note that all absolutes are extremely concentrated by nature. They should not be evaluated in this state unless you are accustomed to the undiluted fragrance. For those trying Absolutes for the first time, we strongly recommend they be evaluated in dilution. Otherwise, the complexity of the fragrance – particularly the rare and exotic notes – become lost.
Absolutes can be very viscous or even solid and can be difficult to extract from the bottle. Gently warming the absolute in a water bath will melt the product and make it easier to use.
